Are you a quilter or crafter? Many Amish and Mennonite women have always sewn their own dresses — it's a skill passed down through generations, as natural as cooking from scratch or tending a garden.

But times are shifting, even quietly. Tailors are becoming more common in Plain communities, and some shops now carry ready-made lines that fit the modest, practical styles these women love.

🪡Love made visible, one stitch at a time.🪡

With limited storage space, finding room for all of your day to day items can be a challenge. Pantry spaces can also be difficult to organize and maintain. Some ideas for simplifying this process can be:
Group by category — Keep like with like: canned goods together, grains together, snacks together. Makes them all easier to find.
First in, First out — be sure to pull older items to the front so nothing gets buried and forgotten.
Clear container storage — place flour, rice, pasta, and cereals in clear labeled bins allowing you to see items that are running low.
Use vertical space — tiered risers, stackable bins, and door-mounted racks utilize space well.
Label — include expiration dates when needed.
“Use it up” zone—place items that need to be used soon in a special bin to reduce waste.
Audit twice a year — Do a quick check and purge in spring and fall to keep things from expiring in that back corner.

If you need a cabinet to help you get started, we have several to help you begin your organizational journey.
