Creekside Sewing and Upholstery

Creekside Sewing and Upholstery Creekside offers services in reupholstery and general home décor creations. Hello! My mom would let me entertain myself by "sewing" coloring pages.

My name is Tracey, and I have had a love for sewing almost as long as I can remember. My earliest sewing endeavors involved an old treadle machine belonging to my great grandma. It gave me endless delight to pump the foot pedal and guide the paper under the empty needle. Staying inside the lines had a whole new meaning! I eventually graduated to actual thread and fabric. As a freshman in high scho

ol I made my first outfit in home ec. I wore it to the school program and almost died when the principal had me stand up and model it! Throughout the years, I have enjoyed sewing all kinds of things, from clothes to home décor, and at one point had my own antique quilt restoration business. My latest love is reupholstery and am thankful for the opportunity God has given me as a stay at home mom to expand these last few years in this adventure. It is so rewarding to take a piece of worn out, outdated, and sometimes unusable furniture and make it lovely again.

Hey, everyone! I want to thank you all for your business these last few years and need to let you all know that I’m not taking any new jobs until next summer. I know this is an inconvenience to some of you, but I thank you for your patience! See you next year!

This was a fun project! There were two matching wing back chairs and two coordinating ottomans to go with them.

I want to thank all of you wonderful people who allowed me to work on your furniture this year! I haven’t posted in quite a while because every time I do it generates more business and I have been comfortably busy since February. 😊 Thank you for all the “word of mouth” and recommendations! It has truly been a blessing, and I really appreciate it. I’ll be posting pictures of my work from last February until now in the next few days.
Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I keep forgetting to post these! I did four dining chairs and some happy pillows over the last couple of weeks.

Recliners are always a challenge but so rewarding when they are done! I do love a good puzzle and these never disappoint. 😄 This particular one was in excellent condition except for where you rest your head. At that spot the bonded leather had failed by splitting. I love the coziness of this super soft fabric! It should last for many years to come.

This was a fun little chair! I love the fabric choice. It’s hard to see in the picture but there are blue threads running through the beige that gives a subtle hint of color.

This chair is much loved and now can be loved even more for many more years! The skirts were removed for a more modern look. It was a good choice.
