Our Story

Formed in 2013 by Vann Cochran, Salt Wood Co is a seasoned team of woodworkers and finishers who creeate one of a kind handcrafted furniture from reclaimed wood. Each piece comes with a story born out of the origin of the wood. Recent harvests include heart pine from an old mill in the South Carolina upstate and The Vendue Inn in Charleston. The Vendue material was first used to build a structure in 1780. We craft doors and tables from old oak barnwood, Sinker Cypress, and Chestnut. We have the privilege of giving reclaimed wood a second chance and placing it where it can be passed on for generations. Stay tuned for more news and photos of new offerings.
