Mossyrock Wood Works

Mossyrock Wood Works Mossyrock Wood Works is a craft furniture maker in Mossyrock, Wa. We use a variety of reclaimed woods to fashion hand-made furniture.

Mossyrock Wood Works builds and sells hand-crafted furniture, using reclaimed wood, including oak, pine, fir, cherry, oak and maple. We are located in Mossyrock, Wash., a small town nestled in the shadows of Mount Rainier and Mount St. Helens about half-way between Seattle and Portland. For decades, dating back to the early 1900s, the Mossyrock area and other parts of east Lewis County were the ho

me of the some of the largest logging and sawmill operations in the country. By the early 1980s, many of the mills were no longer in operation. But large chunks and slabs of wood remain from those enterprises, unused and ready to be repurposed into finely crafted furniture. Mossyrock Wood Works was started in 2015 by two brothers, Mike and Steve Maher, and their longtime friend, Keith Mackie. The Maher family has had a home on nearby Lake Mayfield for several decades and is dedicated to helping revitalize the area and the small community that is Mossyrock.
