The Hope Center

The Hope Center is a non-profit organization that is here to serve the community through various ways. The Hope Center gives out food and clothing to those who are in need and this service is available to clients on a monthly basis. Clients that meet certain guidelines can get food through our Feeding America Food Pantry. The Hope Center stores various items for victims of domestic violence or tho

se who have lost their homes or items in a fire. These items can help these victims to quickly start their lives again. The Hope Center has policies in place to assist residents with their utilities (Water, Heat, Electric, Rent, etc.). About 40% of the sales from the sales floor go to this purpose plus from funding made available thru FEMA. The Hope Center can provide help to transients who are in need of a place to stay temporarily. The Hope Center usually works in conjunction with the Monticello Motel for this. The Hope Center heads up the Wayne County Christmas Giving Effort. We work with approximately 50 agencies/businesses/churches and serve approximately 400 families per year. The Hope Center distributes Commodities for 450+ families per month. The Hope Center has a large sales floor for clothing, household items, electronics, and furniture. These items are made possible through donations and sold for reasonable prices to anyone who needs them. The profits made from sales directly benefits the Hope Center and the community. Free Clothing Vouchers $3,000 quarterly
