Happy Memorial Day!
This is what it is all about . . .
My brother George stated it beautifully.
Monday is Memorial Day. These are my parents, John Frank Laman and Patricia Dorothy Houlihan Laman. They served our country during World War II — my father in the Army outside Germany, and my mother in the Navy in Washington, D.C. My mother’s only brother, whom I was named after, was killed serving under General Patton during the Battle of the Bulge.
I am so proud of all of you, and thank you for raising me and my seven siblings to love, honor, and respect our nation. On this Memorial Day, my thoughts, prayers, and gratitude are with you always.
