Spencer Says is becoming SECOND STORY!

This isn't just a rebrand. It's a fresh chapter and a chance to build something that reflects where my work is going and, more importantly, where I'm going as a maker.
Over the years, I've built furniture from scratch, restored antiques, transformed old pieces, worked with reclaimed wood and driftwood, painted furniture and artwork, fabricated custom pieces, created sculptures and papier-mâché, and built some pretty unconventional things along the way.
I've learned that I don't really fit into one category.
I make things.
I remake things.
I restore things.
I reimagine things.
And sometimes I start with an idea and build the entire thing from scratch.
That's the heart of Second Story.
An old piece can have a new story.
A discarded material can become something completely unexpected.
And sometimes you simply take what you've learned and create something better from it.
SECOND STORY
The Making House
Made. Remade. Reimagined.
You'll still see furniture, restoration, art and custom fabrication, but you'll also see more of the smaller handmade pieces, sculptural work, seasonal creations and whatever strange idea happens to make its way onto my workbench.
The name is new.
The hands, tools, creativity and stubborn determination behind it are the same.
