Melissa's Vintage Goods Restoring the beauty of days gone by...

While traveling the back roads of Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky and NW Florida as a sales rep, I developed a love for all things vintage. I love to rehabilitate furniture with a nod to the past and a spin from the future...to give it my own, personal signature. I also utilize chalk paint, waxes and various specialty finishes for a truly lasting treatment....Lately I've been creating one-of-a-kind shell boxes, mirrors, and canvas art, using treasures from my Gulf Coast home.

Recipe-size memory box I made for a special friend, Michelle Vidal! Purple shells are commonly referred to as "wampum". American Indigenous People used these shells to trade with the early European settlers. At the time, rich Europeans were mad about shells and would pay great sums for them!
