Open every day May, June, second half of August, September and October. Annuals, hanging baskets, container gardens and vegetable starts in the spring and freshly picked produce in the late Summer and Fall.

During the past two weeks, it's been very gratifying to realize that Benson's Farm is more than just a place to buy plants, container gardens, baskets and vegetable starts. It has been a gathering place and a part of the community for over 125 years.

People rendezvoused from various towns to check what's available.
People reminisced about Anne and Otto transplanting.
Laughing children splashed in mud puddles.
People chatted about not seeing each other since their kids played soccer together.
People were understanding when we were a few minutes late opening the gate.
People were willing to walk a ways when the main parking lot was full.
Condolences were given to one who had recently lost a spouse.
People shopped for those who can no longer get out.
Families came for an outing.

We appreciate it all! And, a special thank you to an incredible crew who keeps us going.

Thank you all who made our opening weekend so special! We really appreciate the local support!

Please watch tonight’s temperatures and protect your plants. We put some peppers out the other morning when it was 36 degrees. Quite a few got frosted. Luckily we have extra plantings coming.

mostly tucked in, but night-time temperatures look to be improving. We will open May 1!

Benson’s Farm update: We’re planning to open May 1! The greenhouse is full of color, bedding plants, container gardens, hanging baskets, vegetable starts and succulents. However, we still don’t have plants outside yet. Our goal is still a May 1 opening! Hope to see you soon!

Benson’s Farm will close for the season Sunday, November 9. We really appreciate all the people who stopped by during our different farm seasons this year. We feel so fortunate to have actually farmed in the middle of Missoula Valley for over 125 years, and to have an incredible Farm Crew who made it possible.

11/7 9-5:30
11/8 9-5
11/9 closed until May 1, 2026 when we’ll reopen with bedding plant sales. Hope to see you then!

Although we are starting our closing-down process, we still have a great selection of carrots, beets, winter squash, green cabbage, empire apples, pears, pumpkins, gourds, and mums. Here is the detailed schedule:
11/1 open 9-5, 11/2 closed, 11/3 open 9-5:30, 11/4 open 9-5:30, 11/5 open 9-5:30, 11/6 open 9-5:30, 11/7 open 9-5:30, 11/8 open 9-5, and 11/9 closed for the season. Thank you for your

Benson’s Farm Fall Update!
Corn is finished. Carrots and beets have begun. Thanks to all who stopped by our indoor Pumpkin Patch! We still have plenty of pumpkins and gourds!

A huge thanks to the Benson’s Farm crew! They transformed the green house into an indoor Pumpkin Patch in a day! We’re open 9-5 weekends and 9-6 weekdays. Happy Fall!

Fall colors are coming! Pumpkins, Indian Corn, Mums and Gourds are available Wednesday, October 1! We’re open 9-6 weekdays and 9-5 weekends.

Benson’s Farm update!

We try to have a continuous supply of corn during the season, but occasionally gaps do happen. It looks like it might be a week before the next planting of corn will be ready.

Happy first day of Autumn! Acorn, Spaghetti and Butternut squash are ready now. Pumpkins, Indian corn and gourds will be available October 1. We’re open 9-6 weekdays and 9-5 weekends.
