This piece was created from a single local slab of very figured maple, that I stared at in the shop for a while until I decided to create a functional table using every single piece of wood to minimize waste. Throwing out all traditional way of thinking and book matched all the sides running the grain vertical instead of horizontal. Legs were also made from local walnut and handle is a highly figured piece of Claro walnut. Finished in a nice satin finished and handle waxed. There is a matching live edge framed in curly teak that wall art meant to be hung above. DM for more close up and details if interested.
