This beautiful wicker set we recently did for a lovely client got a new, fresh look! The old fabric and styling of these cushions was outdated. Using this clean, durable texture with boxed welt piping created a whole new look. We love cushion projects! And super sweet clients too. 🙂

We have been working with one of my favorite people for years on some of the most fun projects! Our client brings us AMAZING vintage fabrics, and we create masterpieces with her beautiful mid century furniture. We had the privilege to work on these cool dining, side and recliner chairs before the holidays, and are in love with how they all worked out!

We had done a cute little pink slipper chair for our friends a while back. Our client was shopping there and realized she had a chair very similar at home that needed a new look. She chose this stunning burnt orange velvet pattern from and this is the finished result. How cool and retro but also new and fresh. We love how it turned out!

More fun vintage pieces in our space! I worked with lovely clients to create this spectacular vintage Danish sofa and chair set. It had been in a basement for a while ( see the last two original pics) so we stripped these items down to the frame and built up. The amazing velvets used ( both solid and print) really brightened this set up. I’m thrilled with the final product and the clients are too😊

Another year at the Mall of America in the books!😊 A big thanks to the following: Scout ( my right hand person) for pushing through even with a carpel tunnel surgery looming! Erik ( strongest man I know!) for assisting in a pinch this year. And of course all the folks we work with at the Mall for giving us this opportunity year after year. I love my job. And I am fortunate that in loving what I do, I get to create beautiful, lasting upholstered pieces that will hopefully be passed on for years to come. In loving my job though, I sometimes find myself working 10-15 hour days. Many upholsterers are the same… we are perfectionists who want to please, but can over work ourselves at times. I have been slaving, so decided to take a little break in London. I assure you KL Upholstery will be open again and back at it next week, but until then… please enjoy these pictures I took of London’s night sky last night ( no color altered!) 😊Kristin
