Plaid is one of those patterns that truly never feels dated.

It’s tailored, familiar, and especially at home here in the Midwest—but we ship it all over because it works almost anywhere. Some plaids are perfect exactly as they are. Others can be reimagined with a subtle shift in color that completely changes the mood.

Add a pop of green, a touch of plum, or a richer neutral and suddenly it feels uniquely yours.

I love plaid in dens and family rooms where you want warmth and structure at the same time. It’s classic, but it doesn’t have to be predictable.

It’s classic, but not heavy. Graphic, but still warm. The patterns feel rooted in tradition, yet completely at home in a modern space.

What I love most is how versatile these designs are. They work in a lake home just as easily as they do in the desert. Soft neutrals inspired by landscape, or richer tones that add personality without overpowering a room.

And when you can adjust the color to fit your palette, it becomes even more personal.
