There was something special about Sunday mornings back then.

Waiting for the paper to land on the porch, flipping past the headlines, and going straight for the comics printed in full color. It felt like a small reward at the end of the week, something meant just for enjoyment before the day really began.

Those comics were more than drawings on a page. They were part of a slower rhythm, shared at the kitchen table, coffee nearby, time not yet rushing us along. Looking back, it’s not just the comics we remember, it’s the feeling of ease, routine, and simple joy that came with them.
