This project is finally COMPLETE!! Starting the new year with this amazing addition to my home. This is my official entry to the

There has been a few skills that I’ve wanted to try and this project was perfect for this.

1: Building an entertainment center

I have promised my wife for years that we would replace our cheap TV stand. Now we have the space that I could build one and make it a permanent addition to our home.

2: Building cabinets and a mantel

I specialize in building tables so this was QUITE different. I had to build lots of smaller cabinets to then piece them together. This took lots of planning and research. I have never previously built cabinets and was eager to enhance this skill. For the mantel I was able to use my favorite hard wood, that would be Cherry. It has such rich colors and gets darker over time. Now I have a place to always hang the Christmas stockings.

Overall, such a fun project that allowed me to flex my abilities and learn some great new techniques. Now let’s get that win! 🏆 🥇

✨ CHERRY WOOD ✨ Although it is considered a “softer” hardwood is remains strong and durable over time. Cherry will keep up with the daily wear and tear of life. This is a very sought after wood because as it ages the red becomes more rich. Through the years you will have a board that keeps getting darker and darker. Did I mention these boards still have a live edge? Get yours today!
