With summer around the corner and more people out riding, the Milton Police Department is sharing information about “e-bikes” and other motorized bikes commonly being used in our community.

Our mission is to protect, serve, and enhance the safety of all members of our community. Safety is paramount, especially young riders and others sharing the roadway, sidewalks, and public spaces.

Our approach is focused primarily on education and safety. Please reach out with any questions.

Due to a delayed opening of lifts and trails at Smuggs tomorrow we will have a delay. Please be at MES at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow. We will load at 8:45 and leave the school at 9 a.m.

As the Milton Ski & Ride 2026 season wraps up this weekend, the club is already looking forward to the 2027 season. We are a volunteer-run organization focused on children, and as our kids grow and age out of the program, we also see our parent volunteers moving on. This creates an ongoing need for new participants to step in and fill the gaps.

Personally, even though I haven't had a child in the program for the past 10 years, those years have been incredibly rewarding. I've had the opportunity to teach and coach many young kids, helping them learn to ski or improve their skiing skills. It’s such a great feeling to see the smiles on their faces when they master a new skill or take in the view from the top of Madonna for the first time.

Milton Ski & Ride currently has several volunteer positions available: mountain chaperones, instructors for skiers and snowboarders, a photographer/social media coordinator, and truck drivers to transport the kids' gear to and from the mountain. Pizza party weekend for Milton Ski & Ride Club. A lot of kids got to make the trip to the top of Madonna today for the first time and the view was great and the kids did very well skiing/riding down. Shout out to the serving crew for keeping the kids well fed today, there were a lot of 🍕and other goodies! I would also like to give a shout out to William W., when a child got hung up on a run, William, who is just a kid himself, stayed and helped her out and got her back with the group. The sun was warm, but today was cold when you were going downhill. A few lost and found items, if you’re missing something, shoot me a message. See everyone next week for our final day.

Saturday 28th is our Ski n Ride party. No need to pack food or drinks, they will have plenty all day at the mountain. Also don't forget to wear a costume. It is costume day on the mountain for the club also.
