Finished a kitchen install this week (mostly finished) by installing the pièce de résistance. This custom built hood is made from powder coated stainless steel with brushed stainless straps. Notice how how the crown follows the exact pitch of the ceiling? We had to carefully measure the pitch and have the manufacturer build the hood match. I was confident in the measurements, but still nervous untill it was hung- so satisfied with the results.

Oh so many miter joints. 10 of them to be exact, in less than 18”. That works out to one joint every 1 7/8”. oh, then I have to put shoe on…so make that one miter joint for every 15/16ths of an inch.
Then repeat for the other side 🤦‍♂️

A kitchen, pantry, and powder-room we finished up a couple of weeks ago with Harding Home Design. White with Hale Navy accents, 48” rangetop, double oven, and built-in refrigerator, and paneled dishwasher. Oh, and some white oak floating shelves.

A lovely family in Ridgewood was kind enough to entrust me with designing their kitchen for them. White and grain matched natural walnut. I should find some before pictures-the transformation is quite stark.
