Some of you might have seen my post about the passing of a fantastic woman and artist who was a major inspiration for me when I first started working with furniture, Heike Marro. I sold a piece a week ago that was a throwback piece inspired by her years ago that I finally wanted to do. It was a very plain mannequin that I completely covered in texture with loads of raised (3-dimensional) stencilling added. Then some colored waxes and a bit more stencilling to get this where I wanted it. I hope she would have liked it. She actually followed my page. I will miss her. 😥

Pretty quiet on the furniture front here while I raise this little sweetie. 2 hour feeding schedule makes everything else pretty irrelevant, not to mention how much brain fog from irregular sleeping. All completely worth it. He's doing great! 6 days old, eyes will be open by next weekend then things will start changing fast. But for now I'm just loving having a tiny foster baby again. Oscar!🥰
