Resort terraces in a destination like Taormina carry a double brief: hold their own against one of the Mediterranean's great views, and survive the season that comes with it. At this Sicilian hotel, designer Valentina Pisani answers with DEDON across the program.

MBRACE brings its woven, high-back warmth to the restaurant terraces, while THE OTHERS and PORCINI add sculptural personality at the infinity pool, three collections in one coherent outdoor language. It is hospitality specification with a point of view, built on DEDON's decades of woven fiber craft.

The best lighting brands understand they are designing behavior, not fixtures. Vibia's CENTER exhibition at 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen made the argument in built form. Curated by Note Design Studio inside the centuries-old Helligaandshuset, the installation placed contemporary lighting in conversation with historic architecture, then carried it into the garden to meet the city. The centerpiece was not a product display but a long communal table, light calibrated to make people want to sit, linger, and connect. For specifiers, it is the lesson worth carrying into every project: light is the material that decides how a space is used.

Kristin Cavallari's Nashville home, featured in Architectural Digest's Open Door, was shaped around the full weight of her days: raising three children, running businesses, recording a weekly podcast, training. The answer arrived as a 130-acre property programmed like a life, with a podcast studio, home gym, and indoor basketball court folded into the residence itself. The result argues something worth remembering: a home succeeds when it is designed around how its owner actually moves through a day, and everything else is decoration.

A study in what silence looks like. In this Sculpted Concrete Series concept, Neocosmic Architecture composes a temple of stone-clad colonnades and still water: a knife-edge pool running toward the horizon, a cantilevered roof plane hovering over desert planting, interior halls washed in low amber light where sculptural seating and glowing orbs hold the hush. It is speculative architecture, but the lessons are real.

Six modular elements compose into a sculptural form that reads differently from every angle, transparency and reflection generating chromatic nuance that shifts with the room around it. A new warm tactile finish introduced to the collection deepens its surface and strengthens the design identity that makes Gems recognizable as a deliberate choice rather than a generic one. The modularity allows the composition to scale, which extends its specification range from residential interiors to hospitality environments where the fixture is asked to carry the room.

A bed cut like a tailored garment. AtelierM by Gino Moschetti for Flou borrows its language from the atelier: soft geometries draped in pleated detail, refined metal profiles finishing the silhouette like hardware on a well-made coat. Fully customizable and completely removable at the cover, it is designed to be fitted to a bedroom the way couture is fitted to a body. Italian bed-making at its most precise, from the house that has spent decades treating sleep as a design discipline.

Ancora moves the way its inspiration does. Drawing on the curves of modern yachts, Joe Adsett Architects lets the form glide across its sloping coastal site, the sculptural roofscape lifting into double height volumes over the main living spaces and master suite. Below, the lower level anchors the composition, holding the cantilever above like a hull holding its line. Subtropical modernism at its most fluid: architecture that separates inside from out not with walls, but with a single continuous gesture.

Danish design has always understood that comfort and discipline are not opposites.
