New work on display starting today!

The Sidewalk Series features low tables with milled impressions of sidewalks that I 3D-scanned around the city. It’s inspired by Japanese design and is meant to elevate something from our urban lives that we overlook every day: the ground beneath our feet.

If you’re in Miami, come see the exhibition (Composition & Layout: Contemporary Design & Objects). It opens today at 6PM and runs through October 22.

Today marks one year since we officially opened Quinaz Studio for business and debuted our first furniture line, Mira de Aire.

Introducing the Gator Shelving System. 🐊

We debuted this piece in the DM/BX booth of just a couple weeks ago. It consists of long vertical strips that attach to a wall. Using a dovetail system, brackets with jagged teeth slide into those strips. Then shelves with teeth of their own nestle onto the brackets, interlocking for a firm hold. Through its functional design comes an elegant and unique pattern reminiscent of an alligator’s jaws.

The Gator Shelving System is highly customizable. We can extend it to fit any flat wall of virtually any length - and shelves can easily be moved around even after it’s built. This unit was made from African sapele (one of our favorite species of wood), but it lends itself to teak or walnut as well. Every cut, every groove is done entirely by hand.

The unit pictured here had a custom bar built in with a sliding door, but the system can be built as a series of shelves - like a floating bookshelf - a desk, or a credenza as well. We work with you to fit your needs.

We are now accepting our first round of orders - to be built early January - so please reach out to us via DM or email at [email protected] if you’re interested in getting in on the first batch. 🙏

Phil has always been a huge source of inspiration and support for me. As a music fanatic (and good big brother), he introduced me to so many of my favorite artists, albums, and songs. And by making a career in music and acting he helped show me that a life in the arts was possible.

He’s also been a huge supporter of my journey this year. We’ve already dropped two of his amazing BAY STORE themed playlists. And tonight he’s topping it all off with a live set at our location in Paradise Plaza.

Come by and enjoy free drinks by (and beer too), art made from Biscayne Bay’s refuse, and incredible vibes thanks to Phil. 🙏💙

Pictured here we have the Gator Shelving System w/ Bar, which is holding a number of beautiful objects from fellow DMBX designers. This particular unit was sold but contact us if you’re interested in a Gator Shelving System. It’s handmade from solid African sapele and is highly customizable.

We also have our new Pôr do Sol Sofa. It’s made from cedar and sealed with VOC-free tung oil, which lends it to indoor or outdoor use.

These gorgeous red/orange suede cushions were made by ‘s Zoe Goldemberg, from the illustrious fashion program. Huge thanks to Zoe and her incredible fashion instructor, , for making this happen! The pillows and throw on the loveseat are by who’s beautiful work you’ve seen all around the this year.

You might also recognize our Mira de Aire Pedestal and Bench, as well as our BAY STORE planter (“2.4 POUNDS”) which is just above the loveseat.

It’s been a very busy couple weeks so forgive the late post! We hosted an amazing event in support of a couple weeks ago at BAY STORE in the .

We also debuted a new piece - “BISCAYNE BAY MANGROVE” - made entirely of bottle caps recovered by . It’s pictured here.

We are co-hosting a gallery night with to kick off Give Miami Day. Come enjoy music by 🔊, drinks by 🥂, and, of course, art!

We will debut a new piece at the event, made entirely from bottle caps recovered in and around Biscayne Bay.

All ticket sale proceeds will benefit and their mission to restore the marine ecosystem and educate residents of Miami Dade County on the issues our Bay is facing. As always, the sale of any BAY STORE pieces will benefit and , but we are adding as a beneficiary for this bottle cap piece as well!
