Our Story

Tabletop gaming is a fundamentally social hobby. Gamers need a place to meet, congregate, and celebrate our shared pastime. In 2010 the last game store in the New Orleans metro closed, and Allie and Jeremy Henson had a passion to fill that need of a space for all gamers. +1 Gaming’s doors opened in March, 2011.

+1 Gaming is dedicated to building a healthy, thriving, growing gamer community. We strive to be a space where veteran gamers feel at home and new gamers feel welcome. We work to ensure our whole community is inclusive to all ages, genders, ethnicities, orientations, and backgrounds.

We serve as many gamers as we can by carrying a diverse range of games - board games for all ages and skill levels, trading card games like Magic: the Gathering, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh!, miniature war games like Warhammer 40,000, roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, and Vampire: the Masquerade, and we’ve recently added second-hand console video games of every generation.

We also buy and trade for Magic: the Gathering cards and used video games and consoles.
