Looking for a special piece of furniture? Take a look at this Mermaid on Bombay chest. The mermaid is decopauge with hand painted details. The base has been painted with greens blended with blues finished with gold details and the top has been refinished to a warm brown. She’s a stunner!

The chest measures 44”wide x 19 1/2” deep and stands 34”. Nice size for a dramatic entryway!

When I look at a piece of furniture I know almost immediately what I want the piece to look like. This lovely small buffet told me to refinish her. I stripped and sanded and sanded again. This breathtaking flame mahogany on the drawers was revealed, the subtle inlay brought back to life. The legs however were so much lighter than the rest of her, it just didn’t look right. So a bit of black paint on the legs was all that was needed. She is a Berkey & Gay, which in my opinion put out some of the most well made furniture. I hope you can stop in at Twin Rivers Local Vintage and see this beauty in person.
