Kitchen + Bath Transformation = When a Home Finally Makes Sense
Some remodels are about replacing cabinets.
Others are about fixing a space that never really worked in the first place.
When our in-house designer, Michelle, first walked into this kitchen, she immediately saw what the homeowners had been living with for years. An awkward oversized island at bar height with no seating. No real separation between the kitchen and powder room. A layout that technically existed... but never truly made sense.
That’s one of the things Michelle does best. She doesn’t start with colors or finishes. She starts with how a home actually functions.
As Michelle put it, “Sometimes you don’t need to remove a wall... you need to add one to make it make sense.”
That one design decision completely changed how this home feels. What used to feel disconnected now creates a natural hallway from the garage and living room into the kitchen, giving the space flow, privacy, and purpose.
From there, the design took on a life of its own.
The homeowner loved rich walnut tones and sage green. Michelle loved the vision too, but she also knew the budget had to work in the real world. After working through multiple pricing options, the design evolved into something even better.
One of Michelle’s favorite moments? When the homeowner suggested turning a narrow structural wall into custom shallow walnut pantries.
Michelle’s response?
“I can’t take credit for that one. She had the idea. I just helped make it work.”
And that’s Michelle.
She listens. She collaborates. She solves problems. And somewhere between sage green cabinetry, vertical tile, warm walnut accents, and flooring that tied it all together, this kitchen stopped feeling like a remodel...
And started feeling like it always belonged there.
