What do you do when you have a client who needs a 60" long benchseat custom made to match an existing table and chairs? You build one from scratch, reverse engineering all the design elements and deliver an amazingly accurate reproduction. Hand wire brushed white oak finish and custom upholstery, all done in the Tanglewood Customs Memphis, Tennessee woodshop. Get 'r done!

A Custom built farm style dining table and 4 benches. Along with a custom Coffee table, for one of my clients outdoor screened-in living area. A big thank you to Becca Gaines Interior designs, for involving me in this great outdoor project. Made of solid old growth Western Red Cedar, and finished with boiled linseed oil. 72" x 72" square. The table top was so big we had to make a custom lazy Susan for it, which is not in any of the photos yet.

This is a 12ft long conference table and 2 side desk workstations custom built for Choates heating and air. It's made of solid Bald Cypress locally sourced in Germantown, Tn, and was designed to celebrate the Plumbing portion of their business . It has 15 hand cut dovetail keys out of Black Walnut, and features traditional joinery throughout the trestle bases. The main concern was being able to get a table that long and heavy up the stairs, and into the second story conference room. So it was designed to be bolted together and fastened with the large industrial pipe fittings. A challenging project to the very end!

This is a reception desk that was custom made for Choates heating and air. It matches the original arts and crafts style of the house in midtown Memphis, Tennessee, which is now a state of the art showroom for their expanding business. A big thanks to Sol and Lauren Choate, for such a fantastic project. This desk is solid white oak, and features some great traditional joinery.

This credenza was finished and delivered in February 2016, and was comissioned as a gift for a 60th birthday. It was designed for use as a vinyl record and media cabinet. The room was basically empty on the day of the delivery, and now it looks like this. Big thanks to the interior designer Becca Gaines, who brought me in on this project. What an amazing room!

I've been very busy in my workshop lately, but I haven't had a chance to get a photoshoot put together for a few of the pieces of furniture that i've completed recently, but these pics from my phone will do for now!

Handmade Solid Locally sourced Oak Chest of drawers with Black Walnut dovetail keyed joinery. Even the solid brass hardware was made custom in-house. This Chest is my tribute to the Atomic Era circa 1950's. Like and share if you dig it!
