Mother Nature and the end-of-school-year chaos have teamed up against us lately! Between field trips, graduations, school events, and some pretty windy conditions, we haven’t been able to get out on the water as much as we’d like.

Florida anglers are finally getting a season worth planning around.

With the recent approval from the Donald Trump administration, Atlantic red snapper management is shifting to the states—opening the door for a significantly expanded 2026 season. Instead of the extremely limited windows we’ve seen in past years, Florida now has a 39-day recreational season starting May 22, including both summer dates and select fall weekends. Forecast said one thing… the ocean had other plans 🌊

We headed out expecting a decent window, but the weatherman missed the mark on this one. Tough conditions right out of the gate made for a challenging morning, and we unfortunately lost 4 gaffer dolphins early while trolling.

No quitting on this crew though 💪 We switched gears, got on the bottom, and made it happen. Despite the less-than-ideal conditions, the rods stayed bent and the cooler ended up looking the way it should — full.

That’s what it’s all about: adapting, staying after it, and turning a tough day into a successful one.

Some days on the water just hit different—and this charter was one of those unforgettable ones.

We were surrounded by dolphins, spotted gentle manatees cruising by, and even got treated to our own private air show from the base overhead. Add in nonstop action with fish biting all day, and you’ve got the kind of trip people talk about for years.

With three boys under 10 on board, it was perfectly orchestrated chaos—lines in the water, laughter in the air, and memories being made every minute. They wrapped it all up with a well-earned feast of fresh, mixed bag fish tacos and plenty of smiles to go around.

Tough day on the water out of Sebastian Inlet with the wind howling around 20 knots. Not exactly ideal conditions, but we stayed on the grind, worked every spot, and made it happen.

Ended up putting some solid, good-eating fish in the box for the Home Depot crew 💪 Fresh fillets always make the effort worth it. Thanks Capt Sonny with AA for the invite on this multiple boat charter.

Two chartered inshore trips the last week, and each one brought its own unique set of challenges: 30Mph wind, trolling motor troubles, super dirty water and being out of bait at the bait shop...

From changing conditions to dialing in the bite, we had to stay on our toes and adapt every step of the way. But that’s what makes days like this so rewarding — putting in the work and figuring it out.

We wrapped up the day with smiling clients, great memories and ready to come back.
