Before and After of finish restoration on the ottoman we rebuilt. This piece had been in storage for awhile, so the finish was really dry and flaking. A good cleaning, oil and buff, and a couple coats of shellac and it's back to beautiful!

This is why you have a professional upholsterer restore your antique furniture! We knew right away, even before the fabric was taken off, that something was dreadfully wrong underneath. The shape of the top was wonky, and the foam felt cheap and way too firm. When stripping it down, we discovered 3 layers of brittle webbing on the bottom, all the foundation layers were rotten, the spring ties were a tangled broken mess, and the springs themselves were too tall and too stiff for this piece. Here is a time lapse photo journey of all the steps to rebuilding this ottoman correctly, from the frame up. (New velvet fabric coming soon!)

Just had this cute little settee dropped off for an intense makeover. After being wrapped and stored in a barn for a few years, she's finally getting new caning, new finish, and a sassy new fabric. We'll show you the final results when she's done! We also have this antique wingback and ottoman that we'll be restoring, as well as an additional vintage wingback not pictured. So the shop is all a-buzz with the last of our work scheduled before we close on March 31st for a short time while we move!

Before & After of an antique oak nursing chair from London that we just finished yesterday! We re-glued her frame, sanded off the old finish, ebonized the wood, and gave her a satin lacquer finish. Fun fact: this is the back of the fabric! (The front has a white background) 🤫 The customer preferred this side, and we chose the new wood color to match!

** WE'RE MOVING!!**

Rogue Upholstery is relocating next month! We've been given the opportunity to live in a beautiful home here in town that has a fully finished garage with its own heating/cooling system and LOTS of electrical outlets- no more juggling plugs between the compressor and heaters/portable AC unit! 🥳🎊 In the meantime, our shop will be open through the rest of March, then closing down for a short time while we set up shop at the new location. We're really excited! More updates to come!

We've been quiet these last few weeks, mostly by accident because social media is often the first thing to get abandoned when things get crazy busy! 🤪 BUT...We're working on a very exciting change happening next month!
