Rebecca Penno has been designing homes in the Washinton DC metro area since 2006. Born and raised in Virginia, she attributes the state’s beauty and southern tradition as inspiration in her design. She founded Penno Interiors after being mentored by award winning architecture and interior design firms in the Washington, D.C. Through her exposure to high-end interior design, Rebecca has the ability

to walk a client through the entire construction process from ground up. Rebecca’s experience includes collaborating with custom home builders and architects to bring a client’s dream home to fruition. It is through her meticulous eye she is able to offer her talents in interior architecture, finish selections and furnishings. Penno Interiors also caters to clients who have the flexibility of working room-by-room in their existing home. These clients may need a paint consultation or assistance in renovating their kitchen. We love working with vendors who can customize products to our needs. This existing colorway had a slightly more creamy white background and we were able to specify a brighter white. It made a huge difference in this Powder Room. Working with is a breeze and made close by in Philadelphia!

P.S. Trade tip: This mirror was made at our local framing gallery. We selected a frame based on the decor, sized it up just right and Voila!

It was called a bonus space on the floor plan but this is so much more than that. A frequently used home office combined with a gentleman’s lounge. The past few weeks we’ve seen the built in installation to new carpet, wallpaper and finally the furniture. Im so pleased with how it all came together.

🎶A PARTRIDGE IN A PEAR TREE 🎵
This year’s table was inspired by all the beautiful textiles at Rosselli and I knew that a fun way to display them would be wrapping pears and hanging them in branches. Can you spy our tiny partridge? She’s sitting in her pear tree! Designing a tablescape is such alternative way to be creative, just like our interiors we layer pattern, texture and color. Hopefully this might inspire you to grab a few branches and think of a unique way to bring some decor to your holiday table!

Washington Design Center Holiday Fete 2025! Thank you to Madeleine Mitchell at the John Rosselli showroom for inviting me to represent your always beautiful showroom. Our table skirt and dinner napkins showcase textiles from Inchyra and fabricated by our beloved friends at Everett Design . It was such a fun night seeing so many colleagues in our DC design community. Merry Christmas!!

Finally had my chance to see the Idea House. Beyond the beautiful interiors, the craftsmanship detailed throughout by builder was impressive. Growing up in Charlottesville, the home was designed just as I’d hoped it would be.
