We want to thank everyone who supported Whiskey Bravo and for the outpouring of PM and coments. I am a private person but feel the need to explain our decision to close. We will have a sale for one weekend but need to identify a date.
The decision to close was not a difficult one. I began painting furniture and rooms many years ago. A can of paint is an inexpensive way to transform just about anything. In 2016, I accepted a high stress and heavy hearted position. It took me away from my family 96+ times to 43 states during the course of 6 years. My therapy during this time was painting. I threw myself into it when I returned home each time. The furniture was collecting in the house and my husband suggested opening a store to let others enjoy my work and that was how we began the journey.
I knew early last year that I needed a new career path. I wanted my mind and heart free of the heaviness that came along with the job. God blessed me with an opportunity to do just that. In August of last year, I began a position that no longer had me tethered to a work cellphone or computer. I began to paint less and then not at all. I stopped purchasing furniture. I only posted about the talented Meade County High School Swim team. I no longer had the weight on my heart or constant thoughts that left me feeling exhausted. I took a break from the shop and planned to reopen in March, but with each passing day I knew I wanted to put my new found energy into myself, children and husband. For the first time since 2016, I was able to vacation without packing work with me. It was an amazing feeling. I am thankful for my two wonderful children and husband who also had to carry the burden of that job. I owe them so much! I am focused on traveling more but with my family. My son has a list of out-of-state colleges to visit. My daughter has list of everything else beginning with the beach and Zach Bryan with friends.
We are grateful to have met so many wonderful people through Whiskey Bravo.
THANK YOU❤️
