Hidden Purpose Refinishings

Here is a before and after of my most recent project. The client wanted them restored. She had them for a long time and the finish was coming off. It took a bit to get the right color, but finally got it. Now on to the 8 dining chairs. Stay tuned for those pics.

This dresser top needed some TLC. The client wanted just the top redone. I looked more closely and found that it wasn't real wood under that finish. I created a wood grain finish for the client. Now you would never be able to tell.

This transformation has been a long one in the making. First off the client took awhile deciding on colors. Then the colors decided on wasn't what she had in mind. Finally got the colors right, then I had to have emergency surgery for Appendicitis. Which put everything on hold for a few weeks. It's been one thing after another on this project, but it's finally done. The client is thrilled with the final outcome. Just in time for the holidays.

I was asked to refinish just the top of this dining table. She really had been well loved. I gave the table top new life. The client is very pleased with how it turned out.

Take a look at this transformation. My client was tried of the shabby country chic look and wanted a more modern look. She had a color she wanted in mind. We wanted the stain to match some of the brown color from the marble insert. We updated the hardware and the color of the hinges. It definitely looks more modern now. My client is in love with the new look. Those are the best words to hear when I reveal the final look to the client.

I'm back at it. After resting and recovering the last 4 months, my elbow is feeling great. So that means I have been finally released to work again.

I finished up this buffet. Giving it a new purpose as a TV stand with storage. It looks way more modern now, especially after I got rid of those plastic inserts that were supposed to look like rope.

First off I'd like to thank all of my clients for letting me make your visions come true of updating your furniture. I would also like to thank all of my wonderful followers for always commenting and following along on the journey.

I am going to be taking some time off to recover from a procedure I had on my elbow last week. Hopefully this will repair the injury I sustained at the end of November.

I just finished up this jewelry stand from a repeat client. She has had this piece for a long time and it was sentimental to her. She wanted a fresh new look. It is painted with Fusion Mineral paint in the color Coal Black with new hardware in brushed matte brass. I think I achieved that, what do you think?
