*************MISSING***************
DOWNTOWN MARYSVILLE
4TH AND D STREET
MISSING !!!
3 legged, front amputated leg , black and white Tuxedo male cat. No collar. He is friendly but skittish since he was traumatized when my house was burglarized. I’ve been trying to make him a companion to our shop cat Isis but he’s been preferring to stay in the back rooms only. I was planning on taking him home soon if he didn’t acclimate. My shop is at 328 D st. Text me at 530 415-6337 or message me on FB.

My very shy shop cat named Kiki aka Kikoa MAY be missing. He was here last weekend but I was home sick Monday through Thursday. He usually only comes out of hiding for me. My helpers were here and the shop was open but Kiki stays in the back rooms only. They all swear they never opened the back door but I can’t find him. I’ve searched Friday, Saturday and Sunday, even half emptying the storeroom where Kiki hides. I have not even heard him meow to me. I’m frantic and have a guy coming tomorrow to empty the store rooms totally.
Please keep an eye out for him.
NOTE: he is quite a bit younger in the photos but basically looks the same.

This is Dale and Panda. They are homeless here in the Yuba Sutter area. They walked past me today and I noticed Panda was limping badly and it appeared her hip was injured. Dale said she fell off a bed in a hotel room over a month ago and she is getting worse.

I would like to try and get Dale and Panda help for her injury. I’m hoping that we can raise enough donations to pay a vet to see her and do X-rays. If I can get pledges for donations I will make Panda a vet appointment and people who pledge can call the money in direct to the vet if the vet allows it. I could make a go fund me but they take part of the money. If you can spare anything to help Panda, please let me know.

Things have been very stressful for us recently. We had massive amounts of items stolen over a several-month period by someone we trusted. He was finally confronted about the ongoing thefts on the evening of the 13th of September. This culminated in a large theft of over half of our Native American turquoise jewelry, close to $30,000 dollars worth, on the 14th of September. We lost close to 200 rings valued at $65 to $495, the rack of our largest bracelets, many pendants and two squash blossom necklaces.

The same individual and his girlfriend then burglarized my house on Sunday the 17th while we were at the shop. They were coming back for a second load with a borrowed SUV so that they could take items like a large oriental screen, a dragon-carved chair, a large Bronze statue, etc… when my neighbors saw and talked to them.

Later that night after boarding up the broken door we tracked the individual down at his girlfriend’s house and called the police to arrest him on the warrant from the 14th. He has been in jail pending trial ever since.

These thefts have been extremely devastating financially, emotionally, and physically for us, losses have reached nearly $200,000 and still counting. The full total may never be known. This individual went through every box, and there were many, of packed merchandise in our storerooms, taking what he wanted. He stole massive amounts of gold and silver jewelry from our display cases, plus large quantities of jewelry we had stored away. We lost MANY tens of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry alone not counting the turquoise. As a result of all the thefts we had our worst Christmas sales in the 4 years we’ve been open. Jewelry is a huge seller and having had so much stolen we lost out on lots of holiday sales.

The loss from my home was even more heartbreaking. My entire lifetime collection of my most precious antique jewelry pieces, all stored in an antique box, were taken, as was a huge quantity of jewelry that was future store and eBay inventory. A 19th-century French Alabaster marble statue of a young peasant woman was taken. I bought her over 30 years ago for $1200. She had come to Marysville during the gold rush in the 1850s. I purchased her from an elderly descendant of the original owners. I never intended to sell this sculpture, she was treasured but now thanks to these two she's gone. Her current market value is $35,000 to $50,000 plus.

Also taken were many antique items that were VERY sentimental as well as valuable, items that were gifts from my late parents, my grandmother, a deceased close friend, and my first partner who passed from a brain tumor approximately 17 years ago. Stolen was an 18th-century bronze, pieces of antique cloisonne, small oriental bronzes, another marble bust, and a large Tibetan shell covered with hand-tooled silver and mounted with turquoise and coral. These items I listed are only a fraction of what we lost.

We are distraught and disheartened at how the Marysville police department handled the thefts. There was minimal investigation and no search warrant was issued for where this person had been living with his girlfriend even though he was arrested less than 4 hours after leaving my house Sunday evening. As mentioned earlier we found him easily, not the police but us. At this point, it’s too late. All our items are gone. I’m sure the girlfriend has sold everything off. We respect police in general, we have family and friends in law enforcement but we have really lost our faith in the MPD.

This whole ordeal has affected our health, caused a loss of trust in general and had serious financial implications. Right now we are waiting for trial date to be set for the third time.
