Our short term rental The Oaks Oasis Guest House will be available the end of April. Right here in Grants Pass, Oregon. We have had the best renters so far and always sad to see them leave. But, they are onto save more lives around the USA🇺🇸

Completed on NE D Street!✨

It’s been a couple weeks since we have returned to WA and had been taking our time sifting through applications for the perfect renter for this space.

We truly can’t wait to share this home with others. So much hard work and sacrifice went into it. Here’s to another completed investment!

DIY Bathroom Counter✨

Watch how we took this 50’s pink vanity to an updated floating counter.

Step 1. Go to your local mill and pick out your favorite wood of your choice. Here I chose Blue Spruce. Your local hardware store won’t have slabs this thick so going to the mill is the best option. This slab was 4 x 20 x 103 inches that we cut down to size.

Step 2. Ready to stain. I mixed 2 different shades shown here but use whatever shade suits you. Then wait to dry.

Step 3. After it is dry apply Poly Urethane. I used a Behr product but there are natural options out there if you like. But, this one didn’t smell at all.
Then wait to dry at least 24 hours.

Step 4. Sand lightly.

Step 5. Apply another coat of Poly. Then wait to dry another 24 hours. Repeat the Poly coat if you choose.

Step 5. Ready to install.

Step 6. Enjoy your new modern floating DIY counter!

Primary Bathroom Update! Tile is complete! This Black Hexagon tile turned out BEAUTIFUL!!

If you aren't a professional tile layer my suggestion to you is not to start your first project with these tiles.
They just take a lot more work. But, totally worth it if you want to watch a few youtube and have some handy skills.
