My hands will be tingling for at least another 30 minutes from all this sanding. But wow, I am always amazed with how great the return to raw wood looks when the gross old finishes come off!!! These chairs are all solid walnut, apart from the triangular seat supports in the set of 4, and the back rest in the pair, which is veneer. I can't wait to see these with some fresh lacquer 😍

Lastnight I encountered silicone contamination for the first time. It is "fisheye" bubbling of the vinyl sealer from using products like Pledge, Restore-a-Finish, Old English, etc. After an emergency learning session and early morning trip to Lowes, the beauty of the grain is starting to show after the first coat of shellac!!! 😍
