Finale Furniture Restoration, LLC We take pride to refinish, restore & repair your antique or vintage furniture. Upholstery available. And so it began. Jim and I work great as a team.

My business began after I retired in August, 2008 from a long career at the Detroit News and Free Press. It started with a small display table I found at an estate sale. It had a broken door, but otherwise was in pretty good shape. I fixed the door, added a mirror to the interior and refinished the exterior. It was easy to create a blog, originally intended to keep track of my work, but the blog e

volved and I got phone calls from people who viewed my blog asking if I could refinish their furniture. After I took on a few jobs with amazing results, it took on its own life. He's a great carpenter and can create miracles with wood. We specialize in restoration and repairs, with limited upholstery (seat cushions). We are not set up to do large chairs, couches and such. We also provide chair caning services as you can see on the blog. We will pick up your furniture (for a nominal fee) and deliver if you are unable to get the furniture to us. We look forward to working with you!
