Please ask Seattle's Mayor and City Council to Reopen the Ballard Farmers Market
We were closed due to the bureaucratic category in which the market had been placed.... Corporate Groceries are Open. A source of local fresh food, handled by a few, well known, hands, in an open-air environment has been closed. Ask them to allow us to again sell our products to the people of Seattle. Thank you

Tomorrow, Sunday, Brookfield Farm will be at Seattle's Ballard Farmers Market 10-3, with Raw Honey from Naturally Treated, Antibiotic-Free WA hives, and more....Me? I just finished vanquishing, for the moment, all the foxgloves in the north pasture...if that sounds "well, so?" - I uprooted enough of the pretty, nasty plants to fill 2 pickup trucks.

Brookfield Farm will be at Seattle's Ballard Farmers Market tomorrow, Sunday, 10-3: Raw Honeys from Naturally Treated, Antibiotic-Free WA hives, and more.
Just got back from two weeks in Utah visiting Dinosaur sites and First Nations Antiquities...great fun. The petroglyph is called "The Great Hunt", Fremont Style, somewhere between 950 and 1250 AD.

The trip was warm, but a truly magic moment was sitting alone under Tapestry Arch watching a rain/hail storm approach across the land. Yes I got wet, but, hey, I live here, so that was normal...except that even with the hail, it was warm!
Had to put the "lawn mowers" to work when I got back to the farm

The Photo: I've been making splits and installing packages. That's Sean, of SeansXYZServices, who gave me a hand with the "lift and search" for the frames I needed for the splits - saves my slightly aged back, and my operated on leg, which is acting up. Handy that Sean can spot a queen fast, really fast. Expecting some Saskatraz Queens next week....

The Photo: I pulled 2 hives into a new beeyard the other day with the help of Sean, of SeansXYZServices. That's him, and his truck in the photos, not me. It is so much easier to move bees with two people, especially when they are already packing in the nectar.

The snow is melting, and the main roads are clear, so I'm hoping for an uneventful drive to market.
