Routing jamb legs to match the slope of the door sill for a custom exterior door.

I used the CNC to cut a template that matched the profile of the sill for a precise fit. The end grain in this case gets sealed before assembly to prevent water from wicking up into the jamb over time as it’s exposed to the elements. Made using lumber from an old west elm dining table that our client was getting of. The splines and dovetails from the original table top construction left behind some pretty wild patterns in some of the boards.
