Farewell to The Cracked Pot

Today, we close the doors of The Cracked Pot for the final time, and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude and a touch of sorrow. Since November 5, 2016, this little shop has been so much more than four walls and a business—it has been a gathering place, a home, and a piece of Manchester’s story.

Over these years, we have shared life with you in its truest form. We’ve celebrated new beginnings as babies were born, and we’ve stood with one another through seasons of loss and grief. Together, we have laughed, cried, prayed, and pressed on. This community has shown us that love and grace can carry us through anything.

To our faithful employees—you gave your talents, your kindness, and your heart, making The Cracked Pot feel like family. To our dear customers—you became friends, neighbors, and companions in this journey. Every smile, every conversation, and every memory inside these walls will remain with us always.

And to Robin—your devotion and strength have been the steady hands and faithful heart behind this final chapter. On the days when it was too heavy for me to carry, you carried it for us both. You stood beside me until the very end, and The Cracked Pot’s closing is just as much your story of love, loyalty, and grace as it is mine. I will forever be grateful for you.

Though this chapter closes today, the spirit of The Cracked Pot will live on in the countless lives and stories it touched. Thank you, Manchester, for walking beside us, for lifting us up, and for making these nine years a treasure we will never forget.

Happy Monday, sweet friends.
I pray your weekend gave you a chance to breathe, to rest, and to take in the quiet moments. Mine has been heavy—full of prayer, reflection, and tears. Today, I come to you with a heart that is breaking and a decision that has been made with much sorrow and deep peace.

After nearly ten years of pouring my heart, my time, my energy, and my love into The Cracked Pot, I have come to the very difficult decision to close our doors.

This wasn’t sudden. It came with countless sleepless nights, whispered prayers, and conversations with God that I hoped would lead me in a different direction. But the answer has been gently, clearly, and consistently the same: it's time.

I never imagined this day. I didn’t have a backup plan, because The Cracked Pot was my dream, my calling, and what I hoped would be my forever. But God, in His mercy and wisdom, has made it clear that this chapter is ending, and I am trusting Him with whatever comes next.

I want you to know—this isn’t just about a store. This was a home. A place where we gathered, prayed, laughed, and grieved together. Where you didn’t just walk in as customers—you became family. That’s what is breaking my heart today. You loved me at my best and held me through some of my hardest days. You forgave my shortcomings, lifted me up in prayer, and reminded me that I wasn’t walking alone.

Thank you. Thank you for believing in me, for showing up, for supporting this little dream of mine, and for becoming part of my story in a way that I will carry with me forever.

The shop will be closed today and tomorrow while I gather my heart and thoughts. Later today, I’ll begin posting some of our large pieces and displays for sale. As before, simply comment “SOLD” with your email, and please remember that invoices must be paid within one hour. I’ll post a heads-up about 30 minutes before the sale begins so you can be ready.

Please pray for me in the coming days and weeks. There is still so much unknown ahead of me, but I want more than anything to honor God as I walk this new road. I don’t know what’s next—but I know who’s leading me.
