Dear Members,
At 9:18 AM on Thursday, June 18, 2026, after more than two decades beneath the waters of B*W, a daring rescue mission was successfully completed.
A team of divers descended into the depths of the pool and recovered a small toy boat that had been discovered lodged inside a 6-inch pipe beneath the pool.
Sun. Storms. Countless cannonballs. Decades of swim meets. But against all odds, the vessel survived.
For years, generations of board members, pool managers, lifeguards, and volunteers have worked tirelessly to understand the mysteries of our pool's water levels and circulation system. Little did we know that one of B*W's longest residents was quietly charting its own course beneath the surface.
This successful recovery marks Phase 1 of our repair project. Additional repairs identified during the leak investigation will be addressed in the offseason as we continue improving and protecting our beloved pool.
Now comes the important part.
The boat has officially earned its place in B*W history.
Rather than retiring quietly, we would like the members to help decide its future.
