Classes are coming. First up is....

May 3, 2025 INTRODUCTION TO THE LATHE – Spindle Turning – Class Size 2
$100
9:00 - 4:00pm with a break for lunch. There is a refrigerator on site if you would need it.

This class is for adults. We will learn how to set up and use the lathe and the tools that are used for spindle turning. The project we make will be finished in a day to take home. It will be a pair of candle sticks. (Candles not included). We provide the lathe and the tools.
We will go over how to identify the tools, care for the tools, brief introduction to sharpening lathe tools, and how to select appropriate lumber, accessories needed for the lathe and we will learn techniques to create beads and coves to create your one of a kind pair of candle sticks. Students will be able to choose from a variety of lumber choices. The candlesticks will be finished on the lathe to take home a finished product.

Making a final resting place for one of our own. Montgomery Louis Pomroy crossed over the rainbow bridge to Heaven in October 3rd.

Making a suitable place for his ashes that were returned this past Monday. One of the most difficult projects to make. I’ll post the completed box once it is ready.

So far two orders for blanket chests for Christmas. Who is next? These solid pieces are family heirloom quality. Have a new baby? Want to start a hope chest for that little one? Keep all of their memories in there and give it to them when they marry. Great idea. No plywood or particle board. These are made from 55 years of woodworking experience. We can even laser engrave a monogram, or a name. But in order to have it for the holiday we need to get you in now. Cannot be last minute.

Happy Sunday all. Taking order for blanket chests. These are handmade and will be distributed in December in time for Christmas. Early delivery is available as requested. There will be a deposit required. If interested you can message me. All chests will have a cedar floor, but available woods are cherry, walnut, oak.
Cheats will have a lift out drawer and two drawers under main cavity. Safety closing hinges. A locking merchanism is available option.
