A little plumbing, a little fence work, and another day proving why the name Veteran Odd Jobs still fits.

Today’s projects included installing a new shower valve and setting a heavy-duty gate for a customer’s new fence. The customer is taking care of the remaining fencing, but the foundation is in place and ready to go.

No two days are ever the same, and that’s one of the best parts of the job. From inside the walls to out in the yard, it’s all about quality workmanship and getting the job done right.

Throwback to 2019.

I came across the very first official license plate for Veteran Odd Jobs today. Back then, Veteran Odd Jobs was just getting started, and I never imagined where the journey would lead.

Since then, it’s grown from a side business doing odd jobs into a full-time licensed plumbing and heating company serving customers throughout the area. There have been long days, late nights, lessons learned, and plenty of miles traveled, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Thank you to every customer, friend, family member, and supporter who trusted me along the way. It’s pretty neat to look back at where it all started and see how far we’ve come.

Here’s to the next chapter. 🇺🇸🔧🚐

Not every workplace view is glamorous, but every job deserves to be done right. Another day helping customers keep things flowing!

Busy day ahead tomorrow — a well tank replacement, a water heater replacement, and a few other small tasks mixed in. The truck is loaded, organized, and ready to go.

A little time spent organizing at the end of the day makes a big difference the next morning. Being prepared helps jobs run smoother, cuts down on wasted time, and keeps the day moving efficiently. It also means less time running for parts or digging through the truck and more time focused on getting the job done right.

Organization is key. Now it’s time to get some rest and get after it again tomorrow. 🇺🇸🔧🚐🇺🇸

Some days plumbing means working in a finished basement. Other days it means following a dirt road into the woods and hoping the GPS is feeling adventurous.

One of the things I enjoy most about this trade is that no two days are the same. Whether it’s a downtown service call, a camp in the middle of nowhere, or a home tucked away down a logging road, Veteran Odd Jobs is always up for the journey!

Saw an ice cream boat cruising down the river today and couldn’t help but think… that might be the coolest job ever. 🍦🚤

Just imagine spending your day on the water, bringing ice cream and smiles wherever you go. Not a bad way to make a living!

It’s voting day, but don’t forget about the people who are truly helping to keep America running every day—small business owners.

From contractors and mechanics to restaurants, farmers, landscapers, and countless others, small businesses are the backbone of our communities.

A few local businesses I think highly of are Ryan’s Tire & Auto Repair, Foxx Run Farm LLC, and Richardson Seamless Gutters, but that’s just a handful of many great local businesses and I know I’m leaving plenty out.
