In honor of Women in Construction Week, I attended the 5th annual BuildX conference. I was also at the inaugural event…five short years later… increasing to 350 attendees and sold out! I spent the day connecting with hundreds of other women doing amazing things in this industry, and learned from educators in design, leadership development, marketing and sales, and more.

It was a great day at the Monona Terrace - hosted by the Madison Area Builders Association, the Milwaukee Metro Builders Association and NARI Madison.

Laundry room, but make it ✨SPA ✨

We were hired by amazing repeat clients to turn a quirky laundry room space with an unusable second storage room adjacent, into a more efficient laundry space. We accomplished this by removing a wall and closing off a window at foot level, opening up the ceiling, using existing windows which give great natural light…enough for their Lemon 🍋 tree to winter indoors.

We designed and sourced custom cabinetry for increased hidden storage and the sought after Dry Away drying rack system. We needed to make room for their corner infrared sauna; a frequently used home spa system for winters in our chilly midwestern climate.

We selected a dreamy wallpaper pattern in vibrant blues and greens along with new blue custom cabinetry, for increased storage and durability. We selected a subtle cream and grey checkered tile floor installed in a diamond pattern, painted an existing structural soffit white to brighten. Welcome to laundry, spa, lemon grove magic!
