Our client’s complete basement remodel provided a large entertainment space for them. A wet bar is featured with plenty of storage and functional space from the custom-built floating shelves and large peninsula. To accommodate guests, a three-quarter bath and two guest bedrooms with a window installation were finished for increased living space.

Doors and trim were ordered to match the finishes in the rest of the home. Vinyl plank flooring is used throughout the basement, with recessed and accent lighting completing the space.

We had our first annual appreciation celebration this past weekend. Thank you to everyone who could make it out, it was great to catch up and reconnect! And thank you to our friend and co-planner Shelley for helping us get this event up and running! (Sorry for mostly blurry photobooth photos, guess you'll all have to come back next year for a do-over.)

We did a complete kitchen and partial dining room remodel. The wall between the dining room and kitchen was removed and a decorative maple wood beam added for transition. We added the sliding barn door in the dining room, moved the doorway to make room for the refrigerator in the kitchen, and installed a new light fixture. The wood curio cabinet was kept in the dining room but moved to another corner for further use. We finished the dining room by sanding and refinishing the original wood floors.

The kitchen was a complete remodel. We installed new cabinets, countertop, appliances, tile backsplash, light fixtures, faucet and sink, crown molding, and wood flooring. Additional lighting was added underneath and inside the cabinets. To match the beam accent and add some color, we added a custom maple accent decoration to the range hood above the oven. For additional storage and functionality, we custom built a matching bench in the back of the kitchen.

Picking up where their builder finished up, we worked with the client to create a bright, open space for them to relax and entertain. As a central focal point to the entertainment area, we built a wet bar complete with tile flooring, stone columns, and under cabinet accent lighting housed under an archway. As a complement to the archway, the tile is also curved in the same radius.

To finish out the entertainment area we installed recessed surround sound speakers and incorporated a half-wall (also known as a pony wall) so the client could display their impressive beer stein collection.

In the remainder of the basement we finished out two additional bedrooms and a three-quarter bath.

In this fun Basement re-model for Sarah and Mitch, we took over their project after the framing and electrical had been completed by their builder. We finished the walls/ceilings with drywall, orange peel texture and matching paint to flow with the rest of their home. The trim and doors in the space are also matched to the rest of the home to provide cohesiveness.

We finished off a recreational area for Mitch and Sarah to play some foosball and entertain, and also added the necessary electrical for them to have a media wall with a nicely-sized, wall-hung TV. Lastly, we finished off a three-quarter bath in the space with simple yet elegant fixtures.

We also had the opportunity to add some nice design elements such as opening up the staircase wall, adding Maple railing with white balusters, and dimmable lighting to add greater functionality to the spaces.

Boom Bros are hard at work, adding a luxurious second bathroom/laundry combo space in this basement but first had to break up all the concrete to reroute and update the plumbing. Once the plumbing was complete, repoured the new slab to start building it out into the new space. Mitch Wendt Carson Yanna

Tom and Kris were looking to do a light kitchen remodel in their cottage home to maximize storage space. While they wanted the kitchen to have a fresh, new feel, they also wanted to keep it in line with the style of the rest of the cottage. In the new space, we installed new cabinets, countertops, and a white subway tile backsplash. We also added in some more natural light through a sun tube in the ceiling.

As an opportunity for added functionality and space optimization, we retro-fitted a base cabinet with wheels so it can be easily moved to access a cellar door in the floor when needed. Acting as a centerpiece to the project, we re-integrated the original steel sink to keep with the style of the rest of the cottage.

Mid-project, Tom and Kris decided to add a stainless steel range hood over the oven, leaving a lone cabinet to be placed elsewhere. Together, we decided to install the cabinet above their dry bar for further storage.

Leaving a minimal amount of waste for the project, we repurposed the original kitchen cabinets as additional storage in their laundry room. In doing this, it also meant more of their original cottage was still in use which was a very important factor for Tom and Kris.

Robin and Greg were looking to downsize and move closer to family when they purchased this house. They successfully downsized, but realized in doing this they sacrificed some much needed natural light. When they approached us with this project, the main objective was to get some of that natural light back while making the space as a whole feel more open. To do this, we removed a partition wall between the laundry room and kitchen, and added a full-height bay bump-out with full-height windows to create a nice, bright sitting room where the laundry used to be. Utilizing the space further, we added custom-built cabinetry to house the laundry appliances, with additional cabinets above for laundry or pantry storage. With just these few adjustments we transformed how the space felt and it now flows beautifully with the rest of the home.

Wanting to increase their living square footage and add a guest bedroom, Micah and Jolene contracted us for a complete basement remodel. Originally open, we added walls to create separate spaces for an exercise room, bathroom, living space, bedroom with closet space, and utility room. To complete the bedroom we installed an egress window and ran the closet down the full length of the new room for additional storage of seasonal items. Separating the bedroom and living space are frosted glass French doors that have the ability to provide guests with some privacy or keep the space open when not in use. The bathroom also included some frosted glass features in the sliding shower door. Next to the shower we installed open concept built-in linen shelving. We finished off the bathroom with vinyl plank flooring to incorporate a desired rustic look while providing 100% waterproof functionality. Adding some flair in the living space while separating the exercise room is a custom-built, sliding barn door. The trim and doors are stained with a dark finish to nicely tie-in the basement with the rest of the home’s finishes.
