What Makes a Well-Made Piece of Furniture?
Great furniture starts with great bones. Here are five things to look for before you buy.
A Sturdy Frame: The backbone of any quality piece. Look for thick, expertly assembled materials that promise lasting support—this is what keeps a sofa or chair standing strong for years.
Supportive Cushions: Spend a few minutes sitting in a piece before you commit to it. Think of it like trying on a pair of shoes—if they don't feel comfortable from the start, they never will. The same goes for furniture. Your body should feel supported the moment you sit down, and you should be able to relax into it naturally.
