My dad used to work for Phillips 66, and had collected a few old pressure gauges from the plants and refineries he worked at over the years.
I decided to build him a clock using one of the old gauges. Took the guts out of the gauge to put in the clock movement, but it was really cool looking so incorporated it as part of the clock (for looks only).
Made the base from a single board of an old pallet and used an ebony stain and danish oil to give it an “old look.”
Hope he likes it, but his assisted living facility is on lockdown. Trying to decide if I should wait to give in person or just have it delivered?
