One major thing I learnedā€¦I can find the time to create, no matter how impossible it may seem.

I had four kids home with me, and I was the one and only adult in the house for the day. I decided to do a three hour finger painting class and it MADE MY DAY!

My girls let me paint and didnā€™t need much while I was painting. I think I only got one snack inquiry. No one was fighting. No one was screaming. Finger painting is magical. This doesnā€™t happen every time I paint. Not even close šŸ¤Ŗ

This magical class was was from šŸ™‚

This felt SO GOOD! I was over painting on this canvas. I needed a fresh start. I was never going to finish the previous painting even though it was maybe 90% there.

I thought I might be afraid of heights šŸ«£

My ladder and I became great friends this week. The first time I got up on this building to paint I realizedā€¦I might just be afraid of heights OR at least afraid of falling off this building.

Turns out Iā€™m not. I got used to being up high. I made sure not to get too comfortable and I took my sweet time moving around up there.

If donā€™t like Lubbock wind (does anybody actually like Lubbock wind?!), donā€™t experience on top of a building šŸ˜¬

This project turned out great!! So glad I got over my momentary fear šŸ¤Ŗ

Talk, draw, pray, paint, take a napā€¦all of the above!

Getting the yuck, stress, anxiety, or whatever out of your head helps!

Pray, and wait for an answer. Even if that answer is stillness and the peace that comes with it.

Talk to a friend, someone you trust, a counselor, or write it down! Youā€™ll feel better!

Life is hard! Youā€™re doing great!! šŸ’›

So farā€¦itā€™s working!

I keep showing up for myself and my business. It has paid off and I canā€™t wait to see what is next! Itā€™s not always easy. There is definitely imposter syndrome to deal with BUT keep my head down and do the work! So far, itā€™s working!

I almost replaced this palletā€¦glad I didnt!

Iā€™ve had this little watercolor set since September, and I keep thinking I should upgrade.

It continues to prove me wrong.

You donā€™t need more to start creating, you just need to start.
