Town of Love Valley ORDINANCES
2019-11-11-001: 1. No person within the town limits of Love Valley shall possess or consume any alcohol, beer, or wine or have an open container containing any alcohol, beer, wine while upon the streets or sidewalks or boardwalks in the Town.
2. Upon the Town Council allowing a special event, alcohol, beer, wine may be possessed and consumed upon the streets, sidewalks, and boardwalks in the Town on the date, times and under the rules as set forth by the Town Council for the special event and as allowed by North Carolina statue. Civil penalty/fine: $50.00
2011-06-13-002: It shall be unlawful for any person to shoot off, discharge or explode any firearms within the Town Limits of Love Valley. Love Valley Citations: $50.00
2011-06-13-003: It shall be unlawful for any parking in the posted "No Parking” areas in the Town Limits of Love Valley. Violators can be issued a citation and /or towed at the Owners expense. Love Valley Citation: $25.00
2011-06-13-004: It shall be unlawful for any parking in the posted “Handicapped Parking” areas without a NCDOT approved place card or license plate properly displayed as defined by the NCDOT. This violation is punishable up to a maximum of $250.00 as defined by the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Violators can be issued a citation and /or towed at the owner’s expense. Love Valley Citations: $25.00
2011-06-13-005: It shall be unlawful for any littering or improper disposal of garbage in the Town Limits of Love Valley. House hold garbage of its residents and visitors is to be properly disposed of in the Town of Love Valley dumpsters it provides. The Household garbage is to be disposed of inside the dumpsters with doors being closed. No garbage to be placed outside the dumpsters on the ground and surrounding areas. Other refuse, such as construction materials, furniture, appliances, mattresses, etc, are not to be disposed of in the Town of Love Valley dumpsters. Love Valley Citation: $50.00
2011-06-13-006: Obscene and/or vulgar behavior and or language will not be tolerated in the Town Limits of Love Valley. Love Valley Citation: $25.00
2011-06-13-007: All equine, i.e. horses, mules, ponies etc will be kept to a walk on Main Street Love Valley. This is to enhance safety for people and animals alike.
2011-06-13-008: No mistreatment, abuse or neglect of horses will be tolerated at any time. This also pertains to all animals in the Town Limits of Love Valley. Iredell County Animal Control will be contacted for any violations.
2011-06-13-009: Speed limit inside the Town Limits of Love Valley is 15 mph or otherwise posted by the NCDOT.
2011-06-13-010: No glass bottles allowed in the Town Limits of Love Valley.
2011-06-13-011: Absolutely no motorized vehicles are allowed on Main Street Love Valley; Except for loading, unloading and delivering for downtown businesses. All loading, unloading and deliveries must be completed within 30 minutes and vehicles must be removed from Main Street Love Valley.
2011-06-13-012: The horse trails provided by the Town of Love Valley and its surrounding landowners are for the pleasure of equine trail riding, PLEASE keep the Trails Clean. “Pack it In, Pack It Out. RS01142013: All Golf Carts and Utilities Vehicles must be inspected and registered with the Town of Love Valley on an annual or weekend basic, and must display a current Love Valley GCV sticker. No one under the age of 16 is allowed to drive any GCV in the Town Limits of Love Valley. A full copy of RS01142013 ordinance can be found online via Iredell County Register of Deed. No ATV’s allowed in the town limits of Love Valley. Love Valley Citation: $50.00
