BILLINGS events and live in-house auctions are held at our brick-and-mortar space, located at 2124 Sacramento Street in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles’ Arts District. Created to provide an accessible platform for the acquisition of quality modern design, furniture, art, decorative objects and accessories, BILLINGS was initiated to fill a void in Los Angeles’ design market through a decided absence of curated channels for the acquisition of exceptional historical and contemporary items.

IN FOCUS: La Posada Hotel (1930s) (Lots 13, 377, 378)

​​La Posada in Winslow, Arizona was conceived as the finest hotel in the Southwest, the crown jewel of the Fred Harvey Company’s hospitality empire along the Santa Fe Railway. Designed by the famed Mary Jane Colter, she considered it her personal masterpiece, meticulously curating everything from the building’s structure to the furniture and landscape. Opened in 1930, the hotel operated for just 27 years before closing.

We are proud to offer three objects from the Hotel’s Golden Age, including the ‘Burro’ Standing Ashtray by Thomas Molesworth, a Pierced Metal Desk Lamp and the ‘San Ysidro’ Linocut by Fred Geary.
