Some of you have been asking where the quilts in the Petite Chateau - Lake Tahoe project are from… so here’s our little secret.

They’re by Coyuchi, our favourite bedding brand at Artifact Homes.

We love their beautiful, timeless designs, exceptional quality, and natural textures that bring warmth and an effortless sense of luxury to a space.

For us, it’s these thoughtful details that make a house feel like home. And COYUCHI is a brand we love returning to, project after project.

Handmade just looks better. You can see it in the texture, the slight imperfections in every line, the depth no machine can fake. That’s why we had this wool piece handwoven in South Africa by Bofred Feature Furniture , custom-squared to hang as art in the Tahoe cabin Artifact is designing for Airbnb. It cost a little more than a quick click-to-cart, but nothing mass-produced would ever look like this. Some things are worth it. 🤍

In a world of fast everything, we wanted something made slowly, by hand, by people who care. This handwoven wool piece was custom-made in South Africa by Bofred Feature Furniture, squared and finished to hang as art in a Tahoe cabin we are designing for Airbnb. Yes, it cost a little more than a quick click-to-cart. But you can feel the hands that made it. Some things are worth it. Can’t waaaaaait to see it installed 🤗

Artifact is designing a 1900s Tahoe cabin in Kings Beach for Airbnb and we’re so excited! It’s a family project and these are some of the pieces going into the space.

The goal: take it from generic back to an authentic, cozy Tahoe cabin.

Follow along over the next couple months for the trials and tribulations of taking out a loft, renovating and bringing this little cabin back to life! Like anything? It’s all available through artifacthomes.com

How to get free interior design, better furniture prices and a beautifully finished home without doing it all yourself.

Woman-owned. Woman-started. Woman-run

Artifact was started by women, built by women, and today, we’re still an all-women team.

And maybe we’re biased, but when it comes to creating a home that feels layered, thoughtful, beautiful, comfortable, and just right… there’s a certain feminine touch that’s hard to replicate.

We notice the little things.
We obsess over how a space feels, not just how it looks.
We know that the right lamp, the right linen, or moving a chair six inches can change an entire room.

Is it a superpower? Maybe.

Sorry, guys ;)

Designed by women. Run by women. Making homes feel really, really good.

5 WAYS TO UPGRADE YOUR AIRBNB ✨

A few thoughtful choices can make a big difference to how your Airbnb feels — and how your guests remember it.

1. GOOD LINEN
We love quality, natural linen. At Artifact, we love Coyuchi for that effortless, boutique-hotel feel.
2. GOOD FURNITURE
Skip the flat-pack look. Choose well-designed, durable pieces that give your space character.
3. MAKE WIFI EASY
It’s a small detail, but guests will appreciate it. A simple QR code for easy WiFi access is all it takes.
4. LESS STORAGE, BETTER SERVING
Think less cabinetry and more open shelving, styled with beautiful, quality serveware.
5. WARM WELCOME
Don’t overlook the entrance. Good lighting creates an immediate sense of warmth and makes guests feel at home from the moment they arrive.

Because great Airbnb design isn’t about adding more — it’s about choosing better.
