A radiant duo from California’s mid-century golden age.

The painting hums with Bay Area abstraction — earthy yet electric, structured yet soulful. And standing guard below, a rare, large monumental “Sun Person” by Stan Bitters, beaming with that raw ceramic energy only Bitters can conjure. Sun, soil, and spirit.

Originally from Ohio, Shawn Savage moved to Palm Springs, California in 2003

Shawn Savage was an intriguing artist with a distinctive style. His most recent focus on Cubist-inspired portraits with whimsical characters gives his work an inviting charm, one that evolves as viewers spend more time with it.

His contributions to design trends in the area suggest that his influence extended beyond just fine art, helping shape the aesthetic fabric of Palm Springs

by thrifting for vintage frames, a clever way to repurpose materials while adding depth to the concept of his art, he created a dialogue between the past and the present.
