Curious how to choose your new kitchen lighting? We've compiled some tips for you..

1) Safety first! Consider electrical and anchoring issues first. If sufficient electrical boxes/wiring isn't present in the places where you intend to install/hang lighting, we recommend utilizing an electrician over DIY.

2) When choosing your kitchen lighting, consider utility 1st, design 2nd. It's important to have sufficient light for food prep and cooking; no one likes to slice and dice in the dark! We understand ambiance is a top priority for many folks, thus we recommend utilizing lighting control systems, such as dimmer switches or Philips Hue Lighting

3) Consider 'Layered Lighting'. Layered lighting utilizes several different lights with varying levels of brightness to showcase the best features of your home (kitchen). For example: overhead lights with a bright capacity for meal prep and cooking, under-cabinet lights for ambiance that can showcase your fabulous back-splash tiling, and above-cabinet lights to create shadow effects and showcase art.
