Why keep the store?
This store was opened in 1969 by my Mamaw. Her table where she would sit and talk to her customers is still in the kitchen. We still have the old overviews hanging on the wall of where it all started. The history print and bench by the door give a run through of what this old building has seen. And yes… we still use our dial up phone hanging on the wall in the warehouse. She still works. Best phone we have lol.
Life got busy. And we have other jobs. Things around here are always a work in progress on improvement… but Emma Jean is in these walls. People that shop with us tell us about when they came in as a child with their own grandmother. In a world the way it is today, that means something.
This is why we keep the store 🩵
