Most of you know me from Countertop & Cabinet Concierge — the person you call when it's time to build, remodel, design, fab & install your cabinets and countertops. While we continue this journey, we also have another passion near and dear to us.
What most of you don't know is that for the last 13 years, I've been caring for wildlife and became a licensed wildlife rehabilitator this year. Last year, we made it official — Karing Hands Wildlife Refuge, a Florida 501(c)(3).
This is hard to write.
My husband and I both had major surgeries this year, and his diagnosis means he has to take strict precautions around the animals now with his recent diagnosis.
Right now, orphaned squirrels, opossums, and baby rabbits are being cared for on my back porch and in my office. I'm doing it alone, and it isn't working very well.
We need to build a proper intake facility — two small structures with cages, climate control, and a real place to care for these animals and be able to help more than we already do. The goal to do this properly is $25,000.
I've spent over 15 years helping you build the spaces you love. I'm asking now for help building one for the animals, my passion.
Any of these would mean everything:
